Grace and Megan attended the launch of Kiama Library’s “Born To Read” programme today. Grace was presented with a baby kit containing brochures, a bib and a book, by the Kiama Mayor Sandra McCarthy.
Luke Skywalker’s Birthday
Today is Luke Skywalker’s birthday! (May the Fourth…) Megan, Grace and I travelled down to Huskisson today to catch up with Robyn, Ian and Todd, and also Joyce who was staying with them.

Finley William Jones Is Born
Our friends Will and Nicola gave birth to a healthy baby boy this morning. His name is Finley William Jones, born 7-4-2002 at 4:02am, 3.495kg (7lb 11oz), 50cm (20in) long. They are at the Royal Hospital for Women at Randwick, the same place Grace was born. Congratulations, guys!
Grace’s Heart Surgery Follow-Up
We took Grace up to Sydney today for some x-rays and a follow-up appointment with her heart surgeon, Dr Nunn. He was very pleased with her progress – there’s no sign of fluid around her heart or lungs, her liver is normal, and her heartbeat sounds fine.
